The Department of Mathematics has 17 faculty members with the Ph.D. degree working on diverse areas such as Fluid Mechanics, Harmonic Analysis, Dynamical Systems, Graph Theory, Fuzzy Theory, Algebraic Coding Theory, Image Processing, Stochastic Process, Queuing Theory, Analysis, Algebra, and Topology. The department has been recognized as a research center of Anna University, Chennai and students are pursuing Ph.D. Programme. The Department organizes workshops, conferences periodically sponsored by funding agencies.
